OUR WIND TUNNEL TEST CAPABILITIES

  • Wind tunnel test of aircraft models; measuring of aerodynamic characteristics and pressure distribution at Mach numbers from 0.1 to 2.3.
  • Aerodynamic load measurement on aircraft model elements such as wings, horizontal and vertical tails, control surfaces, stores, etc.
  • Hinge moment measurements.
  • Aircraft model flutter tests - flutter characteristics, vibration frequencies, critical speeds, vibration dampening at sub-critical speeds.
  • Store trajectory tests including forced drop.
  • Buffet onset and intensity boundaries tests at low and transonic speed.
  • Flow visualization (tufts, minitufts with UV - light, smoke, oil, b/w and coloured Schlieren methods).
  • Airfoil wind tunnel tests up to Reynolds numbers 3.8x106 /m at low-speed and 4xMx106 /m at subsonic and transonic Mach numbers up to 0.98.
  • Laminar airfoil tests in wind tunnel with level turbulence levels below 0.02% up to 40 m/s velocities. Helicopter model tests: fuselage/rotor separately or entire helicopter with rotor diameters up to 2.5 m. Aerodynamic design of aircraft, wing, airfoil, high-lift system, etc.
  • Industrial aerodynamic wind tunnel tests (cars, trains, ships and buildings).
  • Design and manufacture of test stands and devices for aerodynamic testing including strain-gauge balances.
  • Strain-gauge balancing and pressure transducer calibration.
  • Unsteady pressure measurements with the system exciting oscillating motions.
