PPM - 1 (PPM - 1B) is a capacitance fuel gauging system of totalizing type consisted of:
- six independent measurement channels (twenty sensors in
six airplane's fuel tanks),
- electronic control unit,
- duplex analog/digital indicator with electromechanical servo-indicator and digital display presenting the total amount of fuel,
- two digital displays,
- two independent indicators (flags) of critical amount of fuel,
ready to connect
with aircraft's warning signals system.
Fuel gauging system PPM - 1 (PPM - 1B) is also provided with:
- microprocessor based unit for characteristics shaping and compensation of fuel's dielectric constant changes,
- auto-testing system,
- diagnostic plug.
Application
PPM - 1 system is installed as a standard airborne equipment in M-28 "Skytruck" aircraft (manufactured by PZL Mielec).
PPM - 1B fuel gauge is installed as a standard airborne equipment in M-28 "Bryza" aircraft (manufactured by PZL Mielec).
