NON-DESTRUCTIVE TEST LABORATORY
Area of our activity
- Non-destructive testing of the materials and elements structures with:
- roentgen,
- eddy currents,
- ultrasound,
- magnetic,
- fibrescopy,
- penetrants.
- The methods identify and inform on the material integrity, their technological history and diagnose the condition of exploitated elements of the constructions,
- Tests could be conducted at different stages of manufacturing process: from control of the stock through interstage control to acceptance inspection as well as during exploitation e.g. in laboratory, industrial and field conditions.
What are we doing
- Detection and determination of position, configuration and size of material, manufacturing and operating defects,
- Tested objects are complete structures, sub-assemblies either elements or fragments, materials and semi-finished products also,
- Fatigue and corrosive cracks, blisters, incusions, forging defects, rolling defects, leakages, welding defects are typical example of detectable defects,
- Graphical presentation and processing and storage of test results - cameras, video recorder, computer reconstruction of picture, etc.
What can we do
The laboratory is capable to conduct investigations in respect to mentioned above features of tested objects.
Major equipment
- Eddy current (INSTITUTE DR. FÖRSTER),
- Ultrasound (UNIPAN, INCO),
- Magnetic (DMS, MAGNAFLUX),
- X-ray (ANDREX 300),
- Fibrescopy (OLYMPUS),
- Penetrant tests (HELLING and MR-CHEMIE).
Who we worked for
- PZL Mielec - I-22 plane (full range),
- "PZL-Rzeszow" - K-15 and K-16 engines (full range),
- Polish Army - helicopters testing - expertise,
- Refinery Plock - tests of rotors,
- CHEMADEX - tests of sub-assemblies and mechanical elements of sugar-works,
- American International Group Poland Insurance Company - power plant expertise.
