Location and Travel
The Congress will be held in Stare Jablonki SPA. Stare Jablonki is situated in the Northern direction from Warsaw by the beautiful Szelag Maly Lake, beautiful forests - the Taborska Pine Nature Reserve in Masuria Lake District.
Stare Jablonki is one of few places in Poland and in Europe still unaffected with pollution where the nature appears in its rude form. Masuria Lake District is situated in the north - east part of the country, the Masuria Lake District is often called "the land of thousand lakes". There are 3000 different lakes and deep forests. This District is full of water, forests, ancient castles, churches, and birds with the highest stork concentration in Europe. The lakes were ground out of the land by glaciers during the Pleistocene ice age when ice covered North-Eastern Europe. By 10,000 BC this ice started to melt. Great geological changes took place and even in the last 500 years the maps showing the lagoons and peninsulas on the Baltic Sea have greatly altered in appearance. This region can rightly be called the Poland's paradise for recreation, indeed there are very few places in Europe to match it for an unpolluted natural environment. Masuria Lake District has a lot of historic ancient monuments (e.g. Ketrzyn Castle, Swieta Lipka Church), it is also known for many historical events (e.g. the Battle of Grunwald - one of the greatest in the mediaeval history of Europe fought on 15 July 1410, Assassination Attempt on Hitler in "Wolf's Lair" on 20 July 1944).
The Congress Centre is situated in the historic Anders palace and has one of the most modern facilities in Poland. Congress Centre offers the modern equipment accomplishing the highest necessary needs for the creative effort, concentration, as well as active leisure.
The Organising Committee will provide free transportation from the Warsaw Centralna Railway Station to the Congress Centre before and after the Congress. Warsaw has an International Airport (6 km from the City Centre) with a good connection with the entire world and railway connection with all the European countries
