AREAS OF ACTIVITY - ANALYSIS

Stress, strain and stiffness analysis of complete and sub-components landing gear using FEM software.
Optimisation, down-selection and integration of landing gear components, braking systems, shock absorption and control systems, design evaluation
and compliance with standards, test methodology, development and evaluation of instrumentation for preliminary durability and service life of landing gear elements by modelling and test, loads analysis.

Computational simulation methods for:

  • load cases for landing gear components,
  • dynamic load conditions,
  • stability simulation with experimental validation,
  • "shimmy" phenomena,
  • behaviour in extreme conditions,
  • computer simulation for aircraft touch-down dynamics for different landing gear concepts,
  • braking transients (dynamic, heat transfer, vibration).

Analysis:

For analysis FEM software and analytical method is used. Possibility
of optimisation including mass and material consumption. Classical thermal and dynamic analysis and stress analysis including effects of contact, friction, non-linear geometry and construction material.
