TURBOJET ENGINE TESTING LABORATORY

Turbojet engine testing with thrust up to 5000 daN with automated digital control. Digital data acquisition systems enable realtime automatic monitoring of engine parameters (performance, operation time, dynamic engine parameters: e.g. engine start time, acceleration and deceleration, etc).
A high level of laboratory flexibility allows conduction of non-standard engine tests.

Test and analysis capabilities

  • dynamic stresses of rotating engine parts (e.g. compressor and turbine blades),
  • turbine blade temperature loading (in working engine),
  • analysis of engine vibrations,
  • analysis of transient state rotating instability zones in turbine engine compressors,
  • compressor stable operating window determination (in working engine),
  • compressor and turbine blade fatigue stress investigations,
  • compressor and turbine blade fatigue stress margin coefficient determination,
  • jet engines impact test stands (up to 180 m/s),
  • rotating assembly dynamic balancing stands,
  • discs and drums load capacity acceptability,
  • rotor disc and drum low-cycle strength.
